TOMATOES: 70 days from starts, space 2’ apart, add tomato secret sauce, harvest on cherry tomatoes start mid August (you only need 1 cherry plant) slicer tomatoes like Celerity harvests first week of September. Companions: tomatoes love living next to Basil!
HERBS:
Basil: space 8-12” and plant next to your tomatoes. Basil clones super well in water and like to be topped and cut regularly.
Dill: grows tall and needs a tomato cage for support. Plant withthe cabbage family!
Orengano & Lemon Balm: both are perennials that wickedly spread. Consider planting in border areas or mixed with flowers in your pollinator beds.
Parsley: space 6-12” apart, companion with tomatoes and with other herbs.
Rosemary, Sage and Thyme space by 1’, they are great neighbors to the whole garden.
ZUCCHINI: Plant 3-5 seeds per hill, space by 2-3 feet, plants get big and really need their own space. Companion with marigolds & pansies.
