INTEGRATED PEST MANAGEMENT (IPM)
1. Identify and monitor the pest 2. Implement an action or treatment either mechanical or biological (not chemical ) 3. Evaluate success and plan a preventative action for the next grow.
You will have all these pests without question because they are widely abundant in Vermont! Some you need to battle every year BUT all may be managed without using chemicals.
I can help! With a pest management consultation. I will teach you how to deal with all common pests! The primary actions I will teach you include: handpicking, traps, pruning, biological foliar sprays (LAB lactobacillus, BT bacillus thuringensis), how to attract, stock and keep beneficial insect partners to kill bad bugs. During our visit, we will begin the battle with whatever you have or apply preventative measures. Dealing with pests is part of gardening, I can teach you to manage them. Please see prices for pest management consultation.
