Site preparation on new garden sites
On new garden sites sod removal or laying down a weed barrier material, leveling ground for the box delivery, gravel or wood mulch for walkways (optional) and any other landscaping will be quoted based on a $50/hr labor rate plus material (gravel/mulch). During our visit you can advise on your level of participation. DIY is welcome and the goal is to help you become a gardener.
Need help with general garden work includes:
Soil work, rejuvenating & feeding old beds with amendments, board forking to loosen soil, planting, weeding, watering, thinning, pruning, defoliating called lollipopping, removal of plant debris, and end of season clean up. $50/hr labor rate plus cost of materials.
Maintenance day visits
You go on a vacation or life gets in the way. All of a sudden you are overwhelmed with weeds and bugs in your garden? Or you want a garden but honestly you don’t have time, energy or desire for garden chores? You go out in the garden and have a major pest problem like white powdery mildew on your squash? We can help! Book a weekly or monthly maintenance day for $300 for a 6 hr visit.
Pest management consultations
For proactive gardeners that want to DIY, this is hands on, bring a notebook, and a learning session at your garden. Most people call when they have a problem, so I would plan on dealing with that specific issue and cover all the rest. Book a consultation for $150 for up to 2 hrs.
Or
If you have a pest issue and don’t want to deal with it, we can bundle it into a maintenance day. Monthly or weekly maintenance day visits always include pest management including preventative treatments like stocking predatory nematodes for squash borers.
